Programme Details

Atharva Institute of Film and Television students learn important filmmaking skills and practice in a professional studios. We offer the best of faculties combined with technical film training with our program. .This course is divided into 2 Semester 1 where a student will go various aspects of Film Making.

The students begin their foundation with basics of film and media like storytelling, photography, video and audio literacy in addition to liberal arts. In later parts of the degree, they learn the technical and aesthetic aspects, Direction, Cinematography, Screenwriting, Editing, Sound Engineering along with acting as well.

SEMESTER – 1( July to December)

  • Video – Editing (Software on FCP and Adobe Premiere Pro)
  • Cinematography
  • Sound-Engineering
  • Art and Culture
  • Direction
  • Practical Film Making

Every student will individually make a film up to 5 minutes at the end of Semester 1 and Documentary Film.

NOTE: PLEASE NOTE IT’S AN ENGLISH MEDIUM COURSE ONLY. ALL THE EXAMS WILL TAKE PLACE IN ENGLISH ONLY.

At the end every student will individually make a short film up to 5-7 minutes.

Where Will the Degree Take You?

Working at the entry level, you will likely start on smaller, lesser-known films and documentaries including educational or government films or commercials.

You will need to expand your portfolio by working on almost anything and everything available for you to grow your reputation in the industry. But if you have the talent, creativity, persistence, and direction, you can work your way from the grunt work of a production assistant to a well-established role in the area of the film industry which interests you.
